PREDICTIVE MODEL
AND DESIGN

WHAT IS

PREDICTIVE MODELING

Predictive Modeling and Design leverages radio frequency (RF) software tools to predict the optimal WLAN infrastructure and recommendations. This activity begins with a network discovery discussion with our clients to understand their building characteristics and layout. We then build out walls and attenuation sources in our RF planning software to simulate accurate RF propagation, producing signal strength results for both 2.4 and 5GHz frequency bands. Once completed, we analyze the predictive evaluations and make design changes based off historical data from similar locations and buildings, which are reviewed and communicated with our clients.

HOW PREDICTIVE MODELING IS DELIVERED

We will update your provided CAD drawings or layout images to include the proposed access point (AP) placement as well as output results showing anticipated coverage patterns for both the 2.4 and 5GHz bands. Airopath will provide the RF channel plan and recommended power levels within the report summary of the Predictive Modeling and Design. Lastly, we create or update the existing site master cut-sheet and review the findings with our clients. This process is typically followed with a post installation Validation once the proposed Predictive design has been installed.

WHY UTILIZE PREDICTIVE MODELING

Are you planning on moving into a new building or a new location that has not been built yet? Do you have the floor drawings and building layouts to scale, but need to know the placement of access points in advance for budgeting, procurement and cabling purposes? We can help answer these and any additional questions pertaining to predictive modeling and design.
